To which countries are commissioned portraits shipped?
Commissioned portraits are shipped exclusively to Spain and countries of the European Union .
Since these are fully customized pieces, this limitation allows us to guarantee greater control over the process, transport and packaging, as well as avoid additional costs and possible issues arising from customs in shipments outside the EU .
For other international destinations, only on-demand products are currently available, which have a logistics system adapted to global shipments.
How does the ordering process work step by step?
The process is very simple:
- Reserve your order through the store to secure your place.
- Once you have placed your order, please contact me using the WhatsApp button at the bottom left.
Your order number and name appear there, so we can get started right away.
- Send me the photos via WhatsApp or email.
- I value the quality of the images and, if necessary, I'll ask for some more to ensure the best result.
- We talked about the idea , the size , and I prepared a final budget based on what you want.
- If you accept the quote, we'll proceed. If not, I'll issue a full refund of the reservation .
- Once accepted, you make the initial 50% payment (less the reservation fee, which is deducted).
- I'm starting the drawing. During the process, if you'd like, I can send you pictures of the progress .
- When the portrait is finished, you make the second half payment .
- I am proceeding with the physical shipment of the work.
What do I need to send to start a portrait?
To begin, I just need you to email me the photos you like best of the subject (person or pet).
From there, I assess the quality and tell you if they are suitable or if we need to look at other options to achieve the best result.
Along with the photos, you can also send me:
A brief description of the idea
Style or background preferences (if you have any)
The higher the quality of the images, the more accurate the final portrait will be.
How long does it take to complete the portrait?
The turnaround time depends on the size and level of detail we agree on, but normally a portrait is usually ready in 3 weeks to 2 months from when we finalize the design and I receive the first 50% payment.
If you need the portrait for a specific date (birthday, gift, anniversary…), please tell me from the beginning so I can organize myself and confirm if I can make it in time.
What exactly does the reservation include?
The reservation serves to secure your place on my order list and cover the planning and preparation time for the project .
Includes:
- The initial review of your photos and the proposal of ideas.
- Portrait planning (composition, level of detail, size).
- The delivery of the final budget according to size and complexity.
- The option to accept or decline the order without obligation. If we ultimately decide not to proceed, the deposit will be refunded.
Is the reservation refundable?
Yes, the reservation is fully refundable as long as the work has not yet started .
If we ultimately decide not to proceed with the order, simply let me know before starting the work and I will refund the full amount.
Once the portrait has started, the booking is no longer refundable, as it covers the time spent on planning and the first phases of the work.
How do I pay the rest of the order?
Once you have accepted the final quote, you can choose from several payment methods:
- Bizum
- Bank transfer
- Custom order on the website (I can generate a payment link with the final amount for you to complete from here, just like a normal purchase).
The payment is divided into two parts:
- 50% upon acceptance of the budget ,
- 50% upon completion of the portrait , before the physical artwork is shipped.
Is the reservation fee deducted from the final price?
Yes, always. The reservation fee is deducted from the total price of the portrait when you complete the final payment.
What if I don't like the final result?
My process includes sending you progress updates if you'd like. Hyperrealism is a faithful reproduction of the photograph; if the photo is good, the drawing will be too. By approving the progress updates, you confirm that you're satisfied with the direction the work is taking.
How is the shipment made?
The artworks are shipped framed for their protection. This frame is purely protective and we recommend replacing it with a professional frame. A hand-signed Certificate of Authenticity is also included.
