This original artwork, titled "Reflections," represents an international milestone in my career as an artist. It is a profound exploration of the human gaze, capturing light and the environment with a precision that has allowed it to be included in prestigious exhibitions worldwide. "Reflections" is not just a drawing of an eye; it is a study of light and how it interacts with the human soul. In this piece, I have sought to capture the complexity of the iris and the moisture of the gaze, but above all, what the eye sees: a distorted architectural environment that transforms the pupil into a mirror of reality.

An Original Work of Art with an International Trajectory: From the MEAM to New York.

This original artwork has been selected to represent Spanish hyperrealism in top-level settings, forming part of the exhibition organized by the European Museum of Modern Art (MEAM) in Barcelona and later traveling to be exhibited at the First Street Gallery in New York.

Technique and concept of the hyperrealistic drawing "Reflections"

To achieve this level of sharpness that defies photography, the process has required microscopic precision:

Eyelash Detail: Each hair has been individually sculpted, seeking the natural direction and weight of the pigment to give volume and depth.

Iris Texture: A meticulous work of light and shadow to create that feeling of transparency and life of a real gaze.

The Architectural Reflection: The technical jewel of the work, where an interior space captured with high-density graphite can be appreciated, providing a touch of modern art and gothic sophistication.

A Prestigious Investment for Your Private Art Gallery

When you buy "Reflections," you're not just buying an original painting; you're acquiring a piece that has been validated by international art institutions. It's a unique opportunity to bring a museum-quality work of art into your home.

Unique Original Pencil Drawing: Created entirely by hand on Fabriano paper. This is not a print; it is the physical piece that was exhibited in Barcelona and New York.

Authority and Revaluation: Its time at the MEAM and its international exhibition ensure an increasing value as a collector's item.

Versatility: If you're looking for the design but prefer a different format, we also have the Hyperrealistic "Reflections" Print.

Frequently Asked Questions

To which countries are the original works sent?

Original works of art are shipped exclusively to Spain and countries of the European Union .

This decision is due to the special characteristics of these types of pieces, such as their value, specific packaging, transport management, and the possible application of customs duties on shipments outside the EU , which can generate additional costs and complications in delivery.

For other international destinations, currently only on-demand products (prints and editions) are available, which have a logistics system adapted to global shipments.

How long does it take for orders to arrive?

The processing and manufacturing time is 1 to 2 days .
Once prepared, your order will be shipped with an estimated delivery time of 3 to 7 business days within Spain . I will always notify you by email when your order is on its way so you can easily track it.

Can I track my order?

Yes. As soon as your order leaves the workshop, you will receive an email with the tracking number so you can see where it is and when it will arrive.
If for any reason you do not receive that email, you can write to me and I will send it to you immediately.

How are the sheets protected?

Each sheet is shipped rolled up with a layer of paper protecting the printed side and secured inside a cardboard tube to prevent bending or damage during transport.
I take it very seriously that your work arrives perfect, just as you see it on screen.

Are the prints limited editions?

No, the prints are not limited editions.
I work with high-quality reproductions so that my artwork can reach a wider audience without losing detail or fidelity to the original drawing. This allows me to offer a more accessible price without compromising the essence of each piece.

How do I contact you to resolve a problem with my order?

You can write to me directly through the website's contact form or send me an email to the address you will find in the contact section.
If it's more convenient for you, you can also chat with me using the chat bubble at the bottom of the store , and I'll respond as soon as possible to help you with any questions or issues.

Are all the works created by David Mateo?

Yes. All the works available in this shop are drawn by me, David Mateo , and each reproduction is made from the original work.
It's my way of ensuring that what you receive maintains the essence, detail, and quality of each piece I create.

Will new designs be available soon?
