About this Print

Ace of Kings is a hyper-realistic human skeleton print, a reproduction of a pencil drawing by David Mateo, Giclée printed on premium paper. A crowned skeletal king, absorbed in his phone inside a stone cell, surrounded by graffiti, dollar signs, and a scythe, all framed like an Ace playing card. The most narrative and conceptual work in the catalog: social commentary, dark humor, and hyper-realistic technique in a single image.

Social Commentary, Dark Humor, and Extreme Detail

Ace of Kings is an apparently absurd scene loaded with meaning: the monarch turned into a skeleton symbolizes the fragility of power in the face of time, while he is distracted by his smartphone, and graffiti, dollar signs, and the sign "In case of regicide break glass" appear around him. Each narrative element has been hand-drawn with extreme precision: the anatomy of the skeleton, the textures of the stone walls, and the small hidden details that the viewer discovers progressively.

Skeleton Print for Decor with a Message

Ace of Kings is designed for spaces where art sparks conversation. It works as a centerpiece in creative studios, modern offices, living rooms with contemporary decor, or spaces with an alternative and urban aesthetic. It is the work in the catalog that most challenges the viewer: no one looks at it without stopping to read every detail and every symbol hidden in the composition.

Skeleton Print as an Original Gift

A hyper-realistic skeleton print with social commentary and dark humor is an extraordinary gift for lovers of contemporary art, visual satire, or decor with attitude. Impossible to find in any conventional store.
