Ojo por Ojo (Eye for an Eye) is a hyperrealistic dark human eye print, a reproduction of a graphite and charcoal drawing by David Mateo, Giclée printed on premium paper. An extreme close-up of the iris with cracked, disturbing texture, chaotic eyelashes, and an unsettling atmosphere that radically distinguishes it from the contemplative eye: here, every fiber of the iris and every reflection has been worked to generate an almost three-dimensional visual effect that challenges the boundaries between drawing and reality.

Atomic Detail in Every Iris Fiber

What makes "Ojo por Ojo" a technically exceptional work is the accumulation of challenges in a single image: the iris with an almost burned or cracked texture, the irregular skin of the lower eyelid, and the eyelashes rendered with controlled chaos that amplifies the disturbing atmosphere. Graphite and charcoal combined to achieve a depth and contrast that Giclée printing fully preserves.

Eye Print for Decoration with Intensity

Ojo por Ojo works as a centerpiece in spaces seeking contemporary art with immediate psychological impact. Perfect for modern living rooms, creative studios, or dark aesthetic spaces that want a work that compels the viewer to stop and observe. Its square format makes it especially versatile for gallery wall compositions alongside other prints from the collection.
